• Week 1 Run one min, walk 90 seconds. Repeat eight times. Do three times a week.

As there are seven days in a week and each week I only have to run on three of them, this programme is very manageable. Had the programme required me to run more times I wouldn’t have signed up for the 10K. In addition to running being a physical challenge, it’s a mental one and the thought of running four/five/six/seven times a week does not appeal to me! But three I can do.
